This is my directors commentary for "Today's the Day". It shows and discusses what type of media institution would distribute our clip. It also gives information on the logo, and why production companies would choose to distribute one of our films.

Evaluation 1
Setting: The girly bedroom is suitable because it reflects the girls character, feelings and emotions. It is a cool, chilled out place to be, just like she is meant to be a cool, chilled out person.
Costumes: The third image is with all the girls standing at the sink, they are all wearing similar pyjamas/dressing gowns, but our girl is wearing more revealing sleep where, this shows that she is quite differently minded.
Camera Work and Editing: Throughout our opening, we have tried to use as many different camera shots and editing techniques as possible. When in the bathroom we went from a medium shot to and over the shoulder shot, to a close up of the taps, and back to a medium shot.
Fonts and style: We have chosen the opening credits to be in the same font as the title. We did this to help keep Constancy. The font is clear and easy to read, but also makes our opening look stylish, and adds a bit of fun to it.
Story/Narrative: In the sixth clip their is a voice over, this means that our clip is also audio orientated, meaning their is more for your body to do while taking in our film. For example, listen to what is being said and think about it, and watch what is going on, as well as taking it all in.
Genre and suggestions of it: In the seventh clip you see Niona adjusting her hair, and getting changed. Their will be happy music playing at the time, and the colours in the film are bright, this will create a happy atmosphere. The girl will be quite flirty, so it, and the occasional funny thing will happen, that is why this film is a romantic comedy.
Characters: All the girls at the sinks will be the girls closest friends in the boarding house. Though as you can see she stands out from them. Their will be significant guys throughout the film, but none of which are involved in the opening clip.
Special effects: At the beginning when the camera is fast forwarding, into Plewlands, the shot is put into black and white. This is a nice change to the rest of the clip, it also makes the waking up more significant, because it is the first time we see colour.
